OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF BEDFORDSHIRE
For the last 12 years we have worked closely with the university’s events, alumni, and marketing team to deliver multiple successful events. We’ve helped with everything from pivoting to online graduations during the COVID-19 pandemic, to streaming their public lectures worldwide - reaching viewers as far as Australia, and providing the technical production for engaging award shows for their staff and students. Through the relationships we’ve established with key stakeholders, we’re able to proactively help extend the university’s reach, and stay connected with their audiences by continuously evolving their technical productions.

Our collaboration with The University of Bedfordshire has been instrumental in expanding the reach of their "An evening with…" public lecture series. Since its inception, these events have become a regular feature each term. The university invites a well-known special guest to speak in-person at the university and to offer an intimate Q&A session with the audience. Guests have included Chris Packham, Baroness Lawrence, and most recently, Mick Harford. Watch the latest lecture on demand here.
The university's aim was to extend the reach of these talks beyond the lecture theatre to engage and connect with their local community.
The real value came from live streaming the events, enabling viewers to participate remotely via the university's YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as a dedicated live Q&A platform. By implementing tools such as word clouds to engage their virtual audience, we were able to include online viewers in the action and bring them into the conversation.
The university’s latest public lecture saw over 300 additional unique visitors join the event online, doubling the size of the university’s in-person audience. To date (June 2024), the lecture has almost 1,000 additional on-demand views on YouTube alone! With the lectures available to view on-demand, the university’s reach continues to grow long after the lecture theatre doors close.
