Open Banking Expo 2025 – London

One production partner across the entire event

21st–22nd October 2025 | Business Design Centre, London

Overview
Open Banking Expo 2025 returned to London as a key gathering for the global community of disruptors, innovators and visionaries driving the future of Open Banking and Open Finance, for a two-day programme of sessions, exhibitions, interviews and an evening awards ceremony.

With so much happening at once, the organisers needed a production solution that would tie the event together seamlessly, allowing each element to run smoothly while leaving space for speakers, delegates and exhibitors to focus on the content and get the most out of the 2-day event.

The Brief

Across the Business Design Centre, **five stages operated simultaneously**, including a main auditorium, four breakout rooms and a stage on the exhibition floor. Alongside the conference programme, the organisers needed:

- A space to host interviews
- A bespoke exhibitor feature zone for a key exhibitor, Open Banking Limited
- A full transformation of the main auditorium for the evening awards ceremony

The challenge was to deliver these spaces as fully realised, self-contained experiences, while maintaining a unified production standard across the venue.

Pre-Production and Planning

Success for an event of this scale starts long before doors open. Multiple site visits, detailed floorplans, technical planning and set designs were developed to ensure every stage and studio would function smoothly.

Motion graphics, visual assets and awards content were produced in advance, while rehearsals and run-of-show planning allowed the team to anticipate every cue and transition. This level of preparation meant the live event could feel effortless for attendees, even with multiple shows running concurrently.

Sessions and Breakout Stages

Each of the five stages had its own identity and themes but shared a consistent standard in design and production. Staging, set, wireless microphones, feature lighting, lecterns and presentation management were deployed throughout.

- Main stage featured 2x large **LED walls (3.5m x 2m) used to display slides, videos and live relay of our cameras to ensure everyone in the auditorium could see the action** - Remaining stages were supported by twin **85-inch screens**, offering an inclusive viewing experience for attendees in the audience - Each breakout stage matched, with only the theme, branding and colour scheme changing each time

Audio was recorded from every stage, with the main auditorium fully captured with video. This approach allowed sessions to be transcribed, analysed and repurposed for post-event use, marketing and PR activity - ensuring the event’s content continued to deliver value well beyond the live audience.

The Live Lounge Studio and Exhibitor Pop-Up Studio

A dedicated “Live Lounge” provided a relaxed, broadcast-quality environment for interviews with speakers and sponsors. These sessions were produced specifically for Open Banking Expo’s own content channels, creating a valuable library of insight-driven material to support ongoing promotion for 2026’s upcoming events.

The studio offered a space for speakers to expand on the sessions and gave the opportunity for exhibitors to share their insights with the open banking and finance community.

We also helped one of the exhibitors at the show, Open Banking Limited, for whom we provided a bespoke pop-up studio built directly into their exhibition stand. Functioning as a hybrid broadcast and podcast space, it hosted filmed panels, fireside chats and interviews as part of the organisation’s brand launch at the show.

The content captured during the event has since been repurposed across podcasts, marketing campaigns and thought-leadership initiatives.

Evenings Awards Ceremony

At the close of day one conference programme, the main auditorium was transformed into an awards venue for over 150 guests, celebrating 17 award categories.

The transition from conference to ceremony was handled seamlessly, with:

- Staging and set design
- LED screens and motion graphics
- Awards intro sting
- Autocue for the host and presenters
- Carefully managed slide decks and visual assets

Our production team worked closely with their host, the event announcer and live performers, providing full show calling and live production to deliver a memorable and engaging awards experience.

Content Capture and Post-Event Value

A post-event highlights video and social media content such as Vox Pops were also delivered. Audio from all stages were captured to support post event comms, and internal reporting.  This meant Open Banking Expo was able to extend the value of the programme far beyond the two days of live delivery.

Event Impact & Results

- Total Hours Captured: 50+ Hours - Total pre-registrations: 1,400 - Attendees checked in: 1,100+ - Show-up rate: 78% - Overall satisfaction score: 4.3 out of 5

Content usage post-event:

- Highlight video and vox pops used across social channels - Content featured in post-event communications and internal reporting - Winner clips and speaker content supporting promotion for Open Banking Expo 2026
