Acquisitions strengthen First Sight Media’s position in the graduation video market

We're excited to announce that First Sight Media has acquired 100% of Galaxy Video's graduation video production business and a 50% share in MyGraduationClip. These acquisitions mark a significant step forward for our company, expanding our reach and capabilities in the graduation video market.

We've added 13 more institutions to our client list by acquiring Galaxy Video's graduation video production business. This also brings the student-funded part of the business, which retails award ceremony footage directly to graduates, under our umbrella. With this addition, our market share in graduation ceremony services now stands at 25%, and we proudly serve 60 of the UK's 240 universities annually.

Our partnership with MyGraduationClip, the pioneering platform for rapid graduation clip sharing, is equally exciting. This innovative system uses AI technology to identify graduates and deliver personalised clips within minutes of their on-stage presentation.

MyGraduationClip has delivered over 100,000 clips to graduating students at 1,000 ceremonies across 31 institutions annually.

Matthew Hoare, the founder of MyGraduationClip, will remain a key player in the business. His continued commitment and expertise will be invaluable as we develop the platform further and expand its reach.
