Building on our successful delivery of their graduation ceremonies for the last 7 years, our team at First Sight Media are delighted to announce that the University of Derby have chosen us as their partner for the production, AV, and filming of all its open days and applicant days.

Our skilled technical experts will be delivering a number of open day events throughout the year. These events will be split across two of the university’s sites - Kedleston Road and Markeaton Street. At Kedleston Road, a 4m x 2.5m LED wall will be installed, and at the second campus, two 75” LED screens – displaying key information and updates for attendees. We will also provide staging with a backdrop for 'welcome' presentations throughout the day, all enhanced by stage lights and university branded coloured lights to dress the space.

Working closely with the university’s team we'll be transforming the two sites into welcoming spaces with breakout sessions for the open days and applicant days. For these events, we're looking forward to producing parent panels – an opportunity for the parents of future students to ask any questions they might have. We'll also be managing online Q&A sessions using Slido to give the audience a chance to interact with the session. Each event requires an 18-ton vehicle full of equipment, supported by 11 technician days on-site and additional pre- and post-production days.

The expansion of our partnership with the University of Derby is a privilege for us, as we get to play a role in creating memorable moments for some of the most significant days of their student’s lives. Our services now start at the beginning of a student’s time at the university and continue all the way to the completion.
